Neodymium is a special type of metal that is used to make super strong magnets. These magnets are called "rare earth magnets" because they are made from elements that are rare in nature. But the most important thing to remember: they are much stronger than, for example, regular refrigerator magnets.
The "1700 gauss" is a number that tells you how strong the magnet is. Gauss is a way to measure magnetic force. For comparison:
- A refrigerator magnet is usually only 50 to 100 gauss.
- So a 1700 gauss magnet is very powerful!
Premium Collection The copper bracelets in our Premium collection are all handmade in England from the highest quality copper and copper alloys. The copper bracelets that also have magnets contain neodymium (rare earth) magnets which are the most powerful magnets possible and deliver 1700 Gauss.
